Detailed overview

Automatically disable connections

LeanDroid can automatically disable Wi-Fi, cellular data*, cellular radios*, Bluetooth, and location* (networks and GPS). It can also switch cellular network types* (e.g., from 4G to 2G). These actions are triggered after the screen turns off, effectively conserving battery power and reducing data consumption during periods of inactivity.

Disable interval

This feature allows users to set a specific duration to wait after the screen turns off before connections are disabled (premium feature).

Restore connections

Connections disabled by LeanDroid are automatically restored upon reactivating the screen or unlocking the device. Users also have the option to periodically restore connections while the screen is off to enable push notifications and background synchronization. Only connections that LeanDroid deactivated will be re-enabled, leaving manually disabled connections untouched.

Sync interval

Enables users to configure how often connections are restored while the screen is off (premium feature).

Restore Data after waiting xx seconds for Wi-Fi to connect

This function ensures that cellular data is not re-enabled until a WiFi connection is established, preventing brief data interruptions.

Disable exceptions

Offers various options to prevent certain connections from being disabled. Exceptions under "All toggles" prevent all connections from being disabled, while those under "Specific toggles" only protect selected connections. If an exception is identified, LeanDroid will reevaluate after another disable time interval has elapsed.

Disable except if using these apps

No connections will be disabled if specific apps are running in the foreground or have foreground services active. There is also an option to detect background app services.

Disable Wi-Fi/Data/Network type except if active

Data connections will remain active if there is ongoing data transfer when it's time to disable them. This ensures uninterrupted data-sensitive tasks by maintaining data connectivity above a user-defined threshold.

Disable Wi-Fi except if requires browser login

In scenarios where WiFi access involves a browser login requirement (common in public hotspots or guest networks), the service will not be disabled to avoid repetitive login prompts.
